ALOHA PART 2

Today is another sun and sand filled day. We are headed out to snuba dive....scuba/snorkel combined...I cant wait. Hanna is on the moon, she cant wait....I will not be able to show any pics for our surf and snuba shots as I took a water proof camera so my good one wouldn't ruined. I will have to get them developed and scanned.

BUT I can show some more of us..OK Hanna trying to hide AGAIN!!!!I took this for my brother in-law, he grows bamboo and this was pretty amazing bamboo garden.Hanna is way in the back....After chasing Hanna around the bamboo garden I told her if I didn't get a good picture of her, no snuba..ok I really wont do that but she was really hiding from me..she was good at that...HUMMM I am hoping that is not a sign of things to come...YIKES...So she settled down and let me finally snap 1 picture..  

We went shopping and I ran into this guy with his dog...Well everyone that knows me, knows I LOVE dogs...so I could not let this cutie pie go without getting a picture of it. IT WAS SOOO CUTE. he even had on a cute little shirt..Oh I totally could have taken him back to the hotel..

On the way home we past the Maui fire department. I wanted to go in and see if they had any T-shirts for us to buy....Mark looked at me, and if I am not mistaken, I saw him roll his eyes...I laughed and said, "well I'll just tell them that I am from Detroit and would send back a Detroit ER T-shirt in exchange"...LOL Since I was driving, I made a bee line right for the station......

OH YES I DID!!!!!!!!!

I scored a true official Maui fire department T-shirt!!! and guess who wanted one too...YES that's right, the man who rolled his eyes at me.....ok I guess I can ask for an additional one for him...LOL, and one for Little Miss Sunshine too...I hit the mother load...he had to around for a bit before he found one to fit Hanna...I was even going to ask if I could have his...LOL WELL...he was on the tiny side...hey couldn't hurt!! BUT he finally found one....

See what one can get for talking to strangers...(inside joke)....Mark says that his mother and I talk too much to strangers....We can talk to just about anyone, and within a few minutes we know almost their entire history...When Mark was little, he would ask his mother to please not talk to strangers...now that he is an adult, he asks his wife to please stop talking to strangers....

After I scored our shirts we headed back to the hotel for some rest, and we past this really cool church. I stopped to take some pictures of the Blessed Mother. She was covered with Lei.  I am hoping to be able to attend Mass while here.

ALOHA...

Aloha from Mark, Hanna & I. We are on vacation right now, we left last week to one of the best places on earth, HAWAII....OH MAN...heaven..... let me tell you.

We have been here about a week now, and we will be here for another. We are resting, and enjoying the surf, sand and sun, and SHOPPING!! Today was the 1st real active day we had here, we took surfing lessions and had a blast.  We have been just sunning ourselves like lizards on hot rocks. I have some great pictures to share. I tried to get some of Hanna, but she was being very silly and would not let me get any good ones, so the ones I do have of her, she is trying to hide from me, or just being a goof ball...LOL

I think our dogs knew we were leaving because Zack was being a very silly boy. Here is is trying to sleep in Star's little bed.

Once we arrived to HI, we were met by our greeter with 3 lei.  We arrived at about 9pm HI time, so that is like 2am our time. Hanna was pretty tired and I was right behind her. We got our Jeep and headed to the hotel......rest here we come.

We slept like babies, until we got our 5am wake up call from little Miss Sunshine..HANNA, it was 11am Michigan time. So we got up, ate some breakfast and headed to the pool. Hanna was her usual fishy self, and Mark and I sipped Lava Flows and watched her make about 110 trips down the water slide. This is my favorite picture of her. This is the real Hanna...LOL She has been so good, and just a great joy. She always makes me smile!!

After our day at the pool, we went up to the room for a shower and much needed rest. BUT...rest was not to be...we forgot our room key and had to wait for them to come and open our door. After about 1/2 hour, Mark went back down to see what the deal was...they went to the wrong room....YIKES.....After way too many Lava flows and swimming for about 9 hours..I don't think I could stand up for too much longer...so I ended up sitting on the floor in the hallway and started shooting pictures. Here is my take on pictures 101....don't mind the blur...They were clear at the time I was taking them...humm..LOL ok so far so good...not too blurry...  ok after a few too many pictures, Hanna was being silly again and trying to hide. This is her way of telling me enough!

This was at about 6pm. Hanna hit the hay...

2 NEW STAMPS ARE UP

We have place 2 new stamps up on the site.

The 1st one is a Riley, called Liberty and the 2nd one is called Breast Cancer set. I do know that breast cancer awareness month is not until Oct, BUT...we have the 3 day breast cancer walk here in Detroit on Aug 14-16th. I wanted to bring this set out now to give the walkers a chance to make thank you cards, or help with their fund raising events. What a better way to make a card for the event. I made a huge basket of items, including this stamp set, for our local scrapbook store to raffle off. Scrappin' & Stampin . They have a group of ladies that will be walking in this event, and this is going to be their stamp set of the month.

Not only is this a great set for Breast Cancer, but this would make a great card for your best girlfriend, sister, even mother and daughter.

Load your card into THIS FORUM by the 20th of June, with a link to your Blog. Please Post your card on your blog as well, with a Link back to the Guest DT call forum.

8-10 winners will be chosen from all of the cards created.

The 8-10 finalists will be mailed a not yet released set from Hanna Stamps and will be asked to create Three Projects with this set, one being a non/card item (Scrapbook Page, 3D project etc.) You will then have until August 15th to submit your entries.

From those 10 finalists, 6 will be chosen as our next Guest Designers and will be each assigned a two month term.
